The full, proper name of the Kon Ran police force is 混乱的自治省的皇家军事警察/Hǔnluàn de zìzhì shěng de huángjiā jūnshì jǐngchá (In English, The Imperial Military Police of the Autonomous Province of Kon Ran). It is an organization which is divided into two sections: the corrections department, with beat cops and detectives that deal with most general crimes, and the military department, with army-trained soldiers and officers that deal with the security and defense of Kon Ran as well as special cases when requested. Both are answerable only to the KRIMP's police commissioner, who in turn answers only to the highest leaders of the government of Kon Ran.

While the two sections are technically different departments, in practice they are really two parts of the same group, just with different tasks. Many people on the normal police force are former members of the military department and vice versa, and loyalty to the city's well-being and the city's ruler, not to any particular agency, is instilled into recruits from the beginning. Both arms are also known for using "certain" interrogation tactics when needed to get a confession from suspected criminals.

KRIMP was originally a colloquial nickname used by English speakers ("Kon Ran Imperial Military Police"), but which has since been adapted as one of the organization's official nom de guerres. One of its official slogans even promises to "put a KRIMP on crime".
